How to use the rotate PDF
- 1Press Choose PDF. A thumbnail of every page appears.
- 2Use Rotate all left, Rotate all right or Rotate all 180° for the whole document, or the arrow buttons under a thumbnail for one page.
- 3To turn a set of pages, type them in Selected pages (for example
2, 4-6), choose an angle under Turn by and press Rotate these pages. - 4Check the thumbnails, then press Download rotated PDF.

Rotating all pages
The All pages buttons turn every page by 90 degrees left (counter-clockwise), 90 degrees right (clockwise) or 180 degrees. Press a button again to keep turning; four presses bring a page back to where it started. Reset undoes all changes before you download.
Pages that were already rotated in the original keep their own starting angle, and your change is added to it, so a mixed document stays consistent.
Rotating selected pages
Each thumbnail has its own rotate-left and rotate-right buttons, which is quickest for one or two pages. For many pages, type them in Selected pages using commas and ranges (1, 3-7, 10) and press Rotate these pages; the change is applied to just those pages.
Pages you have changed get a coloured border and show their angle next to the page number, and the footer counts how many pages will be rotated.
Viewer rotation vs saved rotation
The rotate button in a PDF viewer or browser usually changes only how the file is shown on your screen; the next time you open it, or when someone else does, it is sideways again. This tool changes the page's rotation setting inside the file (the /Rotate entry in the PDF), so every viewer and printer shows it the new way.
Rotation doesn't re-render anything: text stays selectable and images aren't re-compressed, so there is no quality loss and the size barely changes.
Fixing sideways scans
Scanners and phone scanning apps often save landscape pages, or pages fed upside down, at the wrong angle. Open the scan here, look along the thumbnails for pages that read the wrong way, and fix only those with the per-page buttons.
If the scan also has pages in the wrong order or blank pages, rotate first, then use split PDF to keep the pages you want or merge PDF to reassemble them. To make a large scan smaller afterwards, use compress PDF.
Are my files uploaded?
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF files are not uploaded to our servers.
