How to use the split PDF
- 1Press Choose PDF. Thumbnails of every page appear.
- 2Under How to split, pick Page ranges, Select pages, Every page or Every N pages.
- 3Type the ranges (for example
1-3, 5, 8-), tick the pages you want, or set Pages per file. The line next to the button says how many files you will get. - 4Press Split PDF, then Download each file or Download all (ZIP).

Tick Put all ranges into one PDF to get a single 7-page file instead.
Split by range
Page ranges turns each comma-separated range into its own PDF. 2-4 is pages 2 to 4, a single number is one page, 8- means page 8 to the end and -3 means pages 1 to 3. A range written backwards, such as 5-1, keeps that reverse order.
Tick Put all ranges into one PDF to collect the ranges into a single file in the order you typed them, which is also a quick way to reorder pages. If a page number doesn't exist, the box says so before anything is created.
Extract specific pages
Select pages shows a checkbox under each page thumbnail. Tick the pages you want (or use Select all and untick a few) and press Split PDF to get one PDF containing just those pages, in document order. Tick Save each selected page as its own file to get separate one-page PDFs instead.
This is the simplest way to pull a signature page or a single invoice out of a long document. To save a page as an image rather than a PDF, use PDF to JPG.
One file per page
Every page creates one PDF per page, named with the page number (report-page-1.pdf, report-page-2.pdf …) so the files sort in order. Every N pages cuts the document into equal parts, for example every 2 pages for double-sided forms; the last part is shorter if the page count doesn't divide evenly.
When there are many files, Download all (ZIP) puts them in one archive so your browser doesn't ask about dozens of separate downloads. See PDF to ZIP for other ways to bundle PDFs.
Splitting large PDFs
Each new file is built by copying pages from the original, without re-compressing them, so quality is unchanged. A page that shares fonts or images with other pages carries its own copy of them, which is why the parts together are often larger than the original.
Splitting a 500-page document into single pages takes a little while on a phone; progress is shown and Cancel stops it. Your original file is never changed.
